HOW THE BEET SUGAR SECTOR USES RESOURCES RESPONSIBLY

The EU beet sugar sector has a long tradition of valorising all products arising from the processing of sugar beet, while keeping the use of inputs to an optimum. The Beet Sugar sector thus already applies the principles of the circular economy and waste reduction, anticipating and leading the way towards higher resource efficiency and waste elimination.

27 SEPTEMBER 2016 - PRESENTATION OF THE EU BSSP DURING CAOBISCO'S INTERNAL INFORMATION SESSION ON SUGAR SUSTAINABILITY

CAOBISCO, the Association of Chocolate, Biscuit and Confectionery Industries of Europe, has organised an Information Session on the future of sustainable sugar supplies – social and environmental aspects, on 27 September 2016. To this occasion, the EU Beet Sugar Sustainability Partnership has been invited to present the Partnership.

EUBSSP RESPONSE TO THE EUROPEAN POLITICAL STRATEGY CENTER STRATEGIC NOTE "SUSTAINABILITY NOW! A EUROPEAN VISION FOR SUSTAINABILITY"

Following the publication of the EPSC note “Sustainability Now!”, the EU Beet Sustainability Partnership (EUBSSP) has sent a letter to the Commission contributing to underline the high sustainability of our sector.
